It’s come to my attention that some WordPress.com users have found the subscribe option on this site difficult to use; until I find a solution that allows readers to subscribe to any Worlds Anew site, I’ve started a WordPress.com blog to serve as a sort of update notifier for WordPress.com users.

This blog will continue to exist and will evolve as the needs of the site change, but I hope the new, Worlds Anew Sims Updates blog will provide an acceptable work-around for users who have found the subscription process unusable.

Does this solution work for you, or is there a plugin I’ve overlooked?  How can this site better serve its readership?

Left to Chance – Chapter 1!

The first chapter of Left to Chance, my Sims 3 Apocalypse Challenge blog is now complete!  Dolores Jones made the switch from Earth to the moon of Myrabion, in the Andromeda system and, with her change of address, she found her name had been changed for her and she’d been conscripted into the Space Command wing of the Myrabion Defense Force.

As she’s built her new life, Dolores – now Discordia – has struggled to negotiate the new rules that govern life on Myrabion and to establish a new identity to go with her new identification.

Left to Chance prologue complete

Busy update week over at Left to Chance!  The prologue is now fully posted; Part 2 was published on Wednesday and Part 3 is up as of today.  Ms. Chance has made her decision about how to deal with the situation on Corislag, but she’s already rubbing people the wrong way, including the power-hungry Lieutenant Everett – and he’s got a few schemes of his own.

Site launched. Finally.

Welcome to Worlds Anew!  I’m Moirae, your blog hostess.

To start things off, I’ve posted the first entry of the Prologue for Left to Chance, my apocalypse legacy blog.  In the entry, we meet our protagonist, Discordia Chance (formerly Dolores Jones) just before she is plunged, somewhat unwittingly, into efforts to rebuild a failing space colony.  Will she side with the powerful – and monied – military contractor running the colony, or will she help the colonists overthrow military rule, defeat the mafia, and build a peaceful society from what remains?
